Thankful: Day 10

I think we are drawn to dogs because they are the uninhibited creatures we might be if we weren't certain we knew better.  They fight for honor at the first challenge, make love with no moral restraint, and they do not for all their marvelous instincts appear to know about death.  Being such wonderfully uncomplicated beings, they need us to do their worrying.  ~George Bird Evans,

Today is my little Lola's THIRD birthday! It seems like yesterday I was bringing her home bundled up in a pink blanket. She has grown into a feisty, loud, ball obsessed, loving, warm, sweet girl! She truly is my child and I'm not sure what I would do with out her.  She doesn't judge me when I say absurd things to her.  She is happiest with a ball with a squeaker, and a warm blanket.  She lives for playing fetch and rolling in the grass.  She loves (almost) everyone she meets, once she gets over the "I'm gonna kick your ass" stage.

Through out her life, her floppy ears, loud personality, and quick at the draw kisses has made every person fall in love with her.  She is an absolute hoot to be around and 9 times out of 10 she is doing something she isn't supposed to.

They say that a dog is a man's best friend.  I may be jumping the line a mile or two here but Lola is defiantly my solemate.  I can not imagine loving someone or something else more than I love her!

We're going to celebrate her birthday by playing all morning tomorrow and getting breakfast, then she will have her own burger for dinner.

Happy Birthday Lola! Momma and Daddy love you!!

Hug your babies tight tonight!

Much love to everyone,

Kay
