Family.

I started off my weekend by stopping in Ridgeville SC to visit my two God sons.  This was the first time I have seen Colton, who is almost two weeks only now.  I find it amazing how I can feel so attached to two children that I didn't physically give birth to.  Knowing that these children are going to be forever in my life makes me one happy God mother.
Colton is so incredibly tiny and picky.  He is only two weeks old and already runs their house. haa
Raylan likes to run and play outside, he is such a boy!
I may be biased, but he is the most beautiful one year old out there!
He was dreaming about something good! I couldn't get enough of his sweet self.
Raylan has decided that it's time to start talking.  As you can tell, he hardly has his mouth closed.      ( He gets it from his momma!) haa!
THIS is the fun loving mean crazy sweet funny tough boy that I know! No matter what he will bring a smile to your face and joy to your heart.   You can't help but to love him and his brother so much!  I enjoyed my visit with them and their exhausted parents.  I imagine having two babies, 15 months apart is no fun, but so worth it.  As much as I hated to I had to leave to make the 1.5 hour journey to Georgetown to see my parents and sister.
Saturday was gone before I even knew what happened.  I woke up early and went and visited and ate lunch with Patrick's family, then spent the rest of the day with my cousin around town.  We went and ate ice cream, got Riley sunglasses to "cut off the sun" as she says and walked around front street. The afternoon passed so quickly my sister and I left almost three hours late to go visit family in Johnsonville SC.  I got to see Haleigh and meet Karleigh for the first time.

Buggy was happy because the sun was finally turned off! haha.
We stayed the night and spent the day with them on Sunday before the big BBQ Sunday evening.  It was awesome to see people that I haven't seen in years on Sunday. It made me realize that no matter what happens in life, there will always be people there for you, you just have to open a few doors to find them.

Monday we went to the Waccatee Zoo in Socastee SC. Riley go to spend time with her cousins, and we got to see some pretty awesome animals.

Before I knew it we were leaving Tuesday afternoon.  It was a horrific ride which took me 8 hours instead of 4, due to forgetting my book bag in Georgetown after 1.5 hours into the trip! (sigh) We made it safe and sound and I have never been so grateful for my bed! Some of my family came up on Friday evening for the Clemson University football game against Virginia Tech (which we won GO TIGERS!) So I got to spend so extra quality time with them all! I had a blast with them and I hope they enjoyed their time in Clemson.

Time with family is a precious precious thing.  Before you know it, loved ones are passing away, babies are being born, and people are getting married.  It's important for a family to get together and spend quality time with one another while everyone is still young and can make long distance trips. Sometimes we get so caught up in our daily life that before we know it years have gone by and the people you grew up with and loved so much are not there anymore.   The moral of all of this is to make sure that you're spending time with your family.  Family doesn't have to be blood relatives, a family can be a group of close friends.  Blood is not always thicker than water!

So with that said, from here on out I refuse to not spend quality time with my family, friends included.  I've been so busy with work and school that I've hardly seen my best friend that lives 15 minutes away, so this afternoon we're going shopping! I'm going to make sure that through out life, I will never say "I wish I would have.....".  Life is too short to not do what you want to do.

Hope everyone has had a wonderful week.

Much love to everyone,
Kay
