"As a country, we have been through this too many times. Whether it’s an elementary school in Newtown, or a shopping mall in Oregon, or a temple in Wisconsin, or a movie theater in Aurora, or a street corner in Chicago -- these neighborhoods are our neighborhoods, and these children are our children. And we're going to have to come together and take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this, regardless of the politics." -Barack ObamaWhy do such things happen in a county as great as ours?! What posses people to do such horrible acts of violence? Why must people die, if you're not happy with life?
I'll never understand why, but I do know this. When people tell you to watch your back when you're rounding a corner, do it. When people tell you to have your keys ready when you're walking to your car at night, do it. When people tell you not to go somewhere alone, don't just assume that nothing is going to happen, always take precautions. Don't be oblivious to the violence happening around you. Be ready, be safe, and always have your family ready.
I WILL ALWAYS have guns in my home, I WILL ALWAYS be prepared, I WILL ALWAYS watch my back and the back of others. My daddy didn't raise no fool and I hope that yours didn't either.
Be smart about where you go, and where you allow your children to go. Never assume anything when it comes to your safety or the safety of the ones you love.
Day's like today make me want to home school my children until their old enough to protect themselves. I highly doubt that my children go to public school until their at least in middle school. I won't take risks with my own flesh and blood (when ever God sees fit for them to come).
Hug your babies a little tighter tonight, and pray for the families who lost their babies so close to Christmas.
God called them home, for they were too precious for this ugly world we live in today.
Until next time,
Kay
