Is HO..HO..HO politically correct? Shouldn't it be lady of the evening...lady of the evening... lady of the evening? haa!
I hope that this blog finds everyone reading it happy, healthy, and full of Christmas Spirit! I have no idea where this blog is going, what I want to blog about, or why I'm even blogging right now. All I know is I don't want to pack any more, I don't want to write another stinkin' paper, and I am DONE cleaning. Where is my maid when I need her?! So "bear" with me, because this blog may be all over the place!
Tomorrow Patrick and I are taking the five hour drive to Georgetown for the holiday season. We are both so blessed to be from the same town so that we don't have to choose which family to spend time with over the break. I'm looking forward to spending time with not only my family but also Patrick's family. This is the third year that I will be joining Patrick's family in their Christmas festivities. I'm looking forward to some of Aunt Marlene's homemade lasagna and wedding soup (my mouth is watering right now!), Uncle Bill's Irish Coffee with homemade whipped cream, and the rest of the buffet that is on their table every Christmas.
Friday "dooms day", my Aunt Cathy, mom, youngest sister, and I are having a Baking and Booze party. I have NO idea what we will make, or how intoxicated we may get, or how much of what we bake will be eaten before it even has a chance to be given to someone else; but I do know that it is going to be a good time. Get all four of us in one room and it's a pack of cackling hens! Oh Boy!
Saturday I get to go see my oldest sister and her family! I'm so excited to play with my nephews, take lots of pictures with them, shower them with kisses, and pinch a few cheeks. Mom and Dad will be joining us on this trip, which will make the first time they get to see Colton! YAY! I'm so ready to see my very very best friend/sister. It's so hard to be so far away from her, when all I want to do is go visit with her once a week.
The rest of the week is up in the air, we will be spending as much time as we possibly can with our families, spending time together, and having a great time!
I'm going to miss my house, my coworkers, my managers, my friends, my kitty Nahla, and the life Patrick and I have here in Clemson. I know it sounds like we're leaving for forever, but it won't be too long and we are going to be embarking on a whole new adventure somewhere else. It makes me sad to leave everything for two weeks, I can only imagine how sad I'm going to be when we leave for good.
This may be my last blog post for the year 2012, so I want to say this. Thank you to the people who read my posts, and who keep up with my blog. It makes me feel loved that people actually want to read about the crazy things that go on in my daily life, or obnoxious everyday thankful posts. Thank you for putting up with my bad grammar, horrid ability to proof read my own writing, and my few rant posts that I do have. I'm looking forward to a new year full of blog posts. Hopefully they will be more exciting than the ones I've posted this year and may some be helpful; tutorials, how-to blogs.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and/or Happy Quanza (or what ever you celebrate).
Be safe if you're traveling, shopping or daring enough to go out on Friday!
Much love to everyone!
'Till next time (or year, who knows?),
Kay
